Boston, Mass – The Jeremy and Hannelore Grantham Environmental Trust’s ‘Neglected Climate Opportunities’ program has announced a follow-on investment in Greyrock Energy, Inc. to accelerate Greyrock’s Carbon Recycling Solutions (CRS) technology.
The CRS platform converts CO2, water and renewable power into liquid fuels such as diesel fuel, gasoline, kerosene or jet fuel.
Using CO2, renewable power and water as inputs, Greyrock produces “zero carbon” fuels to replace petroleum derived equivalents. Greyrock fuels burn more cleanly, have lower greenhouse gas emission profiles and can leverage existing vehicle and fueling infrastructure.
Neglected Climate Opportunities’ program seeks to invest in companies that can make meaningful contributions towards curbing climate change. The NCO team believes CO2-to-fuels can catalyze the carbon removal industry, more broadly.
“We are delighted to receive a follow-on investment from the Grantham Trust’s Neglected Climate Opportunities group to accelerate our CRS platform, advancing the de-carbonization of liquid fuels globally” said Robert Schuetzle, CEO of Greyrock.
Greyrock has developed its state-of-the-art Direct Fuel Production™ technology; enabling production of clean liquid fuels from a variety of gas and other resources, including CO2, flare gas, bio-gas, natural gas, and natural gas liquids. Greyrock systems enable customers to solve key environmental and energy challenges. For more information, please visit http://www.greyrock.com.
